The story and the people behind this website
Fireworks.co.uk began in 1995 when I was interested in the potential of the emerging medium of the Internet, in particular the World Wide Web.
After a period of gathering material, and at the same time putting together a web development company, the first version of the website appeared in 1996.
My serious interest in fireworks began over 35 years ago, in the 1970s when I was staging displays for audiences varying from 2,000 to 20,000. I received early training and encouragement from Ron Lancaster at Kimbolton Fireworks and subsequently at Pains, Standard, Fantastic Fireworks and Jubilee Fireworks.
