Our Fireworks FAQ section has been designed to provide you with the all the answers that you are looking for, that relate to fireworks.
We get asked a lot of questions and are always happy to help. But to make thing a lot easier for everyone. We have compiled a list here in the Fireworks FAQ section of the most commonly asked questions and listed them below with our best answers.

CAN YOU DELIVER MY FIREWORKS?
Ghengis Fireworks is proud to offer all of our customers the option to have their fireworks delivered straight to their door. Please check out our page Fireworks Delivery Service for detailed information that explains the different delivery services that we provide.
- Ghengis Fireworks apologies that we are not currently able to offer delivery services to the Isle of Man, Guernsey or Northern Ireland.
- Our very best effort is made to provide a next working day delivery; however, it is not a GUARANTEE! Our couriers at times do run into unforeseen circumstances and mechanical failer, this falls outside of the control of Ghengis Fireworks, as such, we cannot be held liable.
- Due to a restriction by our couriers, we are unable to ship any orders that are placed and received on a Friday until the following business day (Monday) as our carriers will not transport or store fireworks over the weekend.
- By law there must be an adult (someone the age of 18 or older) present to take delivery of your order, they must provide ID and sign for the fireworks. It is against the law to supply Fireworks to any person under the age of 18.
- If an adult is not available to take delivery of your order, there will be a charge of £14.00, for re-delivery. It is always better to have your fireworks delivered to your workplace, but please remember to get permission first!
- If you cancel an order that has already shipped, you are still responsible for the full cost of the delivery and collection.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship any of our fireworks internationally, this is due to a number of factors the primary being each country has different regulation on what they classify as “Legal” fireworks that are permitted to be imported, sold, and even used. So while a firework we sell here may be perfectly legal in the UK it may not be in another country.
HOW MUCH DOES DELIVERY COST?
The list below details our fireworks delivery rates for orders that do not qualify for our free delivery service.
- Delivery to UK mainland is £18.00.
- This is our next day delivery service.
- Delivery to the Isle of Wight is £35.00
- Please allow three to five days for your order to arrive once shipped.
- Delivery to the Scottish Highlands is £35.00
- Please allow three to five days for your order to arrive once shipped.

- Orders over £250! Shipping to the UK mainland.
- Orders over £350! Shipping to the Isle of Wight.
- Orders over £350! Shipping to the Scottish Highlands.
CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?
Yes, you can! All orders sent out for delivery are tracked. You will receive an email or SMS text with your tracking number along with a link to the couriers tracking website.
MY ORDER HASENT ARRIVED?
Ghengis Fireworks apologises for any delays in delivery. Unfortunately, the courier service we use does at times have delays and breakdowns. As this is a third party courtier we are not informed of delays or the reasons why a certain delivery hasn’t been delivered. You will need to directly contact the courier regarding delayed or missed deliveries.
I HAVE RECEIVED THE WRONG FIREWORKS?
Unfortunately, sometimes (but not very often) our picking staff make mistakes, and customers can receive the wrong fireworks, If this has happened then the first thing you should do is contact us directly and quote your order number.
You can contact us either on the phone or via email using the contact page.
We may ask you to take pictures of the fireworks you have received
so we can verify what you have and haven’t got.
One of our staff will then do the utmost to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
ONE OF MY FIREWORKS IS DAMAGED?
If for any reason you have received your fireworks, and there damaged. Please do not fire them! Contact us straight away, take photos of the fireworks and where they are damaged.
we will provide you with and email address that you can send you images directly too for us to investigate the matter and one of our
staff will help supply you with some replacement fireworks asap.
replacements are at our discretion, and all depends on the damage to the firework or fireworks.
HOW DO I RETURN MY FIREWORKS?
Due to the nature of fireworks and the laws surrounding them, every returns case is different ao we advise you to contact us regarding your fireworks returns.
CAN I PICK UP MY FIREWORKS ORDER FROM YOUR SHOPS?
All orders placed with the delivery option of “Pickup From: Chatham Store ME4 4LB” will be ready for pickup at our Chatham Store on the same day you placed the order (unless otherwise stated).
Please note: Any “Pickup from our Chatham Store” orders will be held for a maximum of three months only! After this time all products will be returned to stock to be sold.
WHY DOES DELIVERY COST SO MUCH?
The reason the cost of delivery is so high is that all fireworks contain explosives.
Only a selected few couriers in the UK hold a licence to transport explosives, and the cost of shipping with them is very steep but something we have no control over.
HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?
An account will automatically be created for you when ordering fireworks with the details you provide during checkout, details of your new account will be emailed to the addresse you provided at checkout.
HOW DO I EDIT MY ACCOUNT DETAILS?
To edit your account details you will first need to sign into your account by visiting My Account page. Once signed in please click on the Account Details Tab to bring up the current account details area for you to amend your details.
I FORGOT MY PASSWORD?
This is quite a common thing now with many of us having varying passwords for each individual website that we use. While this is a good safety measure it can and often does mean at times we all forget what password variant we have used on a particular website.
Being compliant with data security standards we here at Ghengis Fireworks are never shown and have no way to display your current password. So, unfortunately, this is not some thing we can answer via an email enquiry.
You will need to create a new password. Please see the section “How do I reset my password” below for detail on how to perform this action.
HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD?
You will need to use the “Lost Password” form,
Simply enter the email address you provided when your account was created, you will then be emailed a temporary link that will allow you to safely and securely create a new password for your account.
Once you have successfully created your new password you can once again log in to your account.
HOW CAN I UPDATE MY SHIPPING OR BILLING ADDRESS?
Log in to your account and head to the “Addresses” section, here you can update both the billing address and shipping address (if it differs from the billing address)
HOW CAN I VIEW OR PRINT INVOICES?
Yes you can, Log in to your account and head to the “Orders” section, locate the order you wish to view and or print the invoice for and then click “Download Invoice (PDF)”, this will allow you to save the invoice for this order to your device as well as printing it off.
HOW CAN I VIEW MY PREVIOUS ORDERS?
Yes you can, Log in to your account and head to the “Orders” section, locate the order you wish to view and click “View”, this will then show you details of this order.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
- If your order status is “Awaiting Payment“: You can head over to the “Orders” section, find the order you wish to cancel and the click “Cancel”.
- If your order status is “Awaiting Processing” or “Completed“: You will need to contact us directly either through our contact form or over the telephone about cancelling your order and being refunded.
Please Note: If you cancel an order that has already been shipped, you are still responsible for the full cost of the delivery and collection.
FIREWORK SETUP AND INFORMATION
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1.3G and 1.4G ?
The difference between 1.4g and 1.3g is the percentage of flash powder in the fireworks. 1.4g fireworks will have less than 5% flash powder and 1.3g has more than 5% flash powder. More flash means more bang and more volatility so you need to be careful when storing and shipping.
It is more expensive to ship 1.3g containers from China than 1.4g. If you are storing 1.4g fireworks and add one small 1.3g firework to it, the whole lot is then classed as 1.3g so be aware of what you are storing.
HOW DO I REMOVE THE PYROMESH FROM ROCKETS?
Removing pyromesh is simple. You will need a pair of gloves and scissors. Just use the scissors to cut through the steel bands holding the pyro mesh together. It should only take about 60 seconds to cut through it all.
WHATS DOES THE CATEGORY OF FIREWORKS MEAN?
F1 or category 1 fireworks are the likes of sparklers, party poppers and Christmas crackers.
F2 or category 2 fireworks are generally garden fireworks that can be used safely in a garden that is 5 – 8m or 16ft to 25ft.
F3 or category 3 fireworks have more flash powder inside meaning they are much more powerful. These will be much louder with bigger bursts in the sky. The safety distance can be as much as 25m or 80ft to you and me.
F4 or category 4 fireworks are for professional use only so not for sale to the public.
HOW DO I WIRE A GRAND SLAM COMPOUND FIREWORK?
You will need to connect all the fuses on the Grand Slam display kit from Brothers Pyrotechnics. You will see the main fuse which is the short one, this is the one that you light. The other long fuses will need to be sleeved together and taped. What this does is allows the first fireworks fuse to ignite the next one and so on. This will allow you to stand back and watch the firework display with your friends and family.
HOW DO I SETUP INSANITY OR BUNKER BUSTER?
The Bunker Buster compound firework is really easy to setup and takes less than a minute.
First, remove the cardboard lid from the firework. You can do this simply by cutting the tape on each side which holds the lid in place.
Secondly, take a close look at the labels on the top of the three cakes you will see they are labelled PART ONE, PART TWO, PARK THREE.
Make Sure PART ONE is facing the crowd and PART THREE is Furthest away from the crowd. (for more information view the third picture on the product page)
Finally, tear back the orange label on PART ONE called FUSE. This will then expose the fuse ready to be lit when you are ready.
The Bunker Buster sits on a wooden base and is pretty stable already but for extra security. You can place brick around the edge of the firework or use a wooden stake and duct tape.
DO I HAVE TO REMOVE THE CLEAR FILM ON TOP?
The Quick answer is no you do not need to remove the transparent plastic film on the top of your fireworks.
This film will not affect the fireworks performance and is merely a thin layer of protection to stop the contents of the fireworks being damaged.
